Elana & John’s Wedding at The Lodge in Skaneateles | June 6, 2026
On June 6, 2026, Elana and John celebrated their wedding day at The Lodge in Skaneateles, New York, surrounded by their closest family and friends. With its peaceful setting, beautiful pond views, and warm lodge atmosphere, the venue was the perfect backdrop for a day filled with meaningful traditions, family, and plenty of celebration.
Elana began getting ready in the Lodge’s conference room while John prepared near the fireplace. One of our favorite moments of the day was Elana’s first look with her dad, Brett, followed by her first look with John on the venue’s balcony overlooking the pond.
From there, we explored the beautiful property for natural couple and family portraits, taking advantage of the Lodge’s peaceful setting and scenic views. Elana and John’s first look on the balcony overlooking the pond created a beautiful starting point for their portraits, followed by relaxed photos with their families. Without a formal bridal party, the focus stayed on the two of them and the people closest to them, allowing plenty of time for genuine moments, laughter, and effortless portraits that reflected the relaxed feel of their wedding day.
Their ceremony took place inside the Lodge beneath a beautiful floral-covered chuppah, incorporating a meaningful Jewish family tradition. Their friend officiated the ceremony, making the moment even more personal. Elana and John exchanged their own vows, and the ceremony ended with John breaking the glass in keeping with Jewish wedding tradition.
After cocktail hour, the celebration continued with a grand entrance, first dance, parent dances, heartfelt speeches, and a plated dinner. One especially memorable speech shared the story of how Elana and John’s relationship began through an Uber investment, making the gift of Uber stock from Elana’s mom a meaningful nod to their story.
As the evening continued, the couple took advantage of the beautiful Skaneateles sunset for romantic portraits before returning to the reception for dancing, cake, and dessert. From the quiet first look overlooking the pond to the packed dance floor, every part of their day reflected who Elana and John are and the people they love most.
