Park & Rebekah
May 25, 2025 | Abraham Lincoln Park, Webster, NY
There are some weddings that feel less like an event and more like a chapter in a love story already well underway. Park & Rebekah’s day was exactly that, a deeply personal celebration of two souls, surrounded by nature, family, and the kind of emotion that lingers long after the last toast.
Before the vows were spoken and the sunlit trails explored, their day began just as it should, with family and friends gathering close. Loved ones arrived with warm hugs and excited smiles, filling the space with so much joy. Set against the peaceful backdrop of Abraham Lincoln Park, with shimmering water behind them and soft petals framing the scene, Park & Rebekah exchanged vows in a ceremony officiated by Park’s best friend, Nick. As the ceremony began, a light sprinkle of rain fell, just enough to feel like a blessing, a little wish from the sky for good luck and lasting love. With only their nearest and dearest present, the whole day felt tender and intentional, every glance held meaning, every embrace lingered just a little longer.
The moment Rebekah stepped into view, Park was visibly overcome with tears in his eyes as he watched the love of his life make her way to him. No aisle, no music, no formal traditions, just the raw, real energy of two families gathering in love and support.
Their vows were sincere and heartfelt, the kind that leave you holding your breath. A kiss sealed their promises, and they were officially husband and wife, surrounded by a joyful circle of close friends and family who had all come to witness something truly special.
Afterward, we spent a few minutes capturing family portraits, big groups, little groupings, all filled with laughter and love. It was a quick session, but meaningful, just enough time to freeze a few of those sweet, in-between hugs and happy tears.
Afterwards I stole Park and Rebekah away for a little adventure session through the woods and down by the water. The way they look at each other is its own kind of poetry. We wandered among the trees, soaked in the golden light dancing off the lake, and captured portraits that felt like pure romance. It was earthy, dreamy, and full of that just-married glow.
After our dreamy forest wander, we shifted pace and captured a few portraits on the steps outside the lodge, a beautiful contrast to the soft, natural setting of earlier. With the structure’s more rustic, slightly industrial charm, it added a new layer to their story. Park and Rebekah then took a quiet moment together down by the dock, venturing out over the water with just a hint of wind and wonder in the air. The contrast between the stillness of the forest and the openness of the water gave their gallery such a dynamic, romantic feel, proof that adventure doesn’t always have to be big to be beautiful.
The celebration continued in the park lodge, where their people gathered for good food, heartfelt speeches, and the kind of vibes you wish you could bottle up and keep forever. Laughter echoed through the lodge, old memories were shared, and new ones were made.
Personally, this day was extra meaningful. I’ve known Park for years, as we worked together at our local cancer center, and it’s been such a joy to watch his relationship with Rebekah grow. He is one of the kindest people I know, and seeing him so fully at ease and in love was beautiful. Rebekah, you are radiant, grounded, and clearly adored. Together, the two of you are something really special, and I’m so honored to have captured this beginning chapter of your marriage. Wishing you a lifetime of hikes, kisses by the water, and adventures side by side.
