Kaley and Maital’s September wedding at Sonnenberg Gardens was simple, stunning, and completely their own. Their day began with an intimate first look in the Garden, followed by hours of portraits throughout the beautiful grounds. The gardens gave us so much variety to work with, from classic portraits to playful, candid moments that felt entirely like them.
Their ceremony took place in the Italian Garden, surrounded by their closest family and friends and officiated by Aunt DeeDee. A string quartet added an especially beautiful touch as they exchanged vows before heading into an evening of dinner, heartfelt speeches, and celebration under the tent.
One of our favorite parts of Kaley and Maital’s day was cocktail hour. Because we had completed their portraits earlier in the afternoon, they were able to truly enjoy this part of the celebration rather than stepping away for photos. They mingled with their guests, relaxed with their family and friends, and enjoyed the beautiful sounds of the string quartet surrounded by Sonnenberg’s incredible garden blooms. It was such a natural, unhurried moment and a perfect reflection of the relaxed feel of their day.
The reception followed with the couple’s sun-kissed introduction before sharing a first dance in front of their closest friends and family. Then family speeches left the room buzzing with beautiful stories about the couple and their love for each other.
As the sun began to set, I stole Kaley and Maital away for a few final portraits. They spent those last moments of golden light running, laughing, and frolicking through the Italian Garden, completely caught up in the excitement of being newlyweds. It was the perfect ending to a day that felt intimate, joyful, relaxed, and full of personality.
Once the dancing began, the energy completely shifted. The dance floor was lit up and packed all night, with everyone joining in and bringing so much personality to the photos. A fun photo booth added another layer to the evening, giving guests a chance to let loose and create some unforgettable moments of their own.
From the quiet beauty of the Italian Garden to a packed dance floor and sunset spent laughing together, Kaley and Maital’s day was the perfect mix of simple, meaningful, and so much fun. A beautiful celebration that felt completely, unmistakably them. Thank you, for allowing me to be a part of it.
